BradfordPolice seek new SUV

Budget: The budget committee is putting forward a $2,030,018 operating budget, which is $15,375 lower than the selectman’s recommendation of $2,045,393. The budget committee’s version cuts $13,000 from the highway department and $3,875 from the executive line.

Other articles: The select board and budget committee are asking voters to support the purchase and outfit of a new SUV for the police department, a cost of $45,000. 

Article 11 has $38,000 earmarked for culvert and catch basin replacement. 

Article 23 would raise $35,000 to hire a part-time fire chief and provide pay for firefighters on a per call basis.

Another article seeks to establish an expendable trust fund for the ongoing project of restoring town hall.

When and where: Ballot voting is Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bradford Community Center, 134 E. Main St. Town meeting is Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Kearsarge Regional Elementary School, 163 Old Warner Road.
