Our democracy is alive and well in Concord. We actually had a real race for a city council seat.
I have lots of people to thank: the volunteers who run the election and manage the polls (kudos to the folks at Ward 5 who gave my visiting students a meaningful lesson on voting); the kind folks at City Hall; anyone who voted; the other candidates – Michael, David and Byron; folks who were willing to place and replace signs on their properties; and finally my friends and family who supported me.
I am very lucky to call Concord my home.
