Several local high school players were named to the All-State teams released by the New Hampshire Basketball Coaches Organization on Sunday, including the boys’ Division II Player of the Year, Pembroke senior Noah Cummings.

Cummings, a senior point guard, scored a game-high 20 points to lead No. 3 Pembroke past No. 2 ConVal in Monday’s NHIAA Division II semifinals, sending the Spartans to Saturday’s championship game against the No. 9 Kearsarge Cougars.

Area teams were especially well-represented in D-II, with Kearsarge’s Noah Tremblay and Merrimack Valley’s Kyle Dube also being named to the First Team for leading their respective teams to the D-II final four.

Pembroke’s Sean Menard and John Stark’s Christian Barr were named to the D-II Second Team, while five other capital area players received honorable mentions.

D-II was also well-represented on the girls’ side with John Stark’s Chelsea Woodsum, Bishop Brady’s Ami Rivera and Merrimack Valley’s Carly Huckins being named to the First Team.

Belmont’s Julianna Estremera was the other area First Team selection, receiving the distinction in Division III.
