To the great citizens of Pittsfield: Once again, the girls at the town hall, together with the moderator and the selectmen, ran a flawless election. The candidates were all awesome.

The school got its proposed budget, along with our teachers getting a three-year contract. They earned it.

I feel exhilarated spending three days on the streets of Pittsfield, playing my shovel and learning I can sing. People were yelling out “I love you” and “You are awesome.”

Joel from Bell Brothers brought me a tray of coffee and doughnuts. Antonia from Jack’s Pizza brought a steak and cheese sub. Many people dropped off all kinds of stuff: money ($1.26 total), a beautiful green beaded tie, water and a little contraband. I also had some critics. Andy the kid said I was insane. One guy said I looked ridiculous. And one guy yelled “Never” to the repeal of zoning.

Well, repeal failed so we will just have to adapt to it, I guess.

When I was standing across from our town hall on voting day, you can’t know how happy I was to be alive and to be a part of this community. I love you all.

P.S.: I just heard the Suncook Valley Sun is done. The Morses made this community with their newspaper. They made me. I owe them. It’s been quite a party. I’m gonna go crawl under a rock. In tears, sayonara.
