An 82-year-old Salisbury woman who police reported missing early Monday has been found, state police said.
Cora Ballou located safe in her car Monday in Auburn, State Trooper Irwin Malilay said.
“We found her in a parked car, completely safe and in perfect health,” Malilay said. “She was picked up by family and is currently staying with them.”
Ballou, who police said may have dementia, was last seen Sunday leaving her home in Salisbury at around 10:30 a.m. with her dog Cooper, a white and brown Chihuahua.
She was driving a gray 2015 Chevy Cruse with a cracked rear passenger-side tail light, police said. The car also may have stuffed animals displayed in its rear window and a sticker reading “Bensons Auto,” police said.
Ballou is caucasian, 5’1 tall and 145 pounds, police said. She was wearing a red-and-blue sweatshirt when she left her house Sunday.
She was first believed by police to have been in the Salisbury/ Webster/ Boscawen area, near Walker Pond, police said.
