Gerrymandering is wrong. End of story. I don’t care if you are a Republican or Democrat, just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should.
It should never have been allowed to happen in New Hampshire and it needs to be fixed, now. We have to demand that our elected officials take the politics out of voter redistricting.
An independent commission is a very good idea, and I strongly support this.
A lot of people complain that the system is broken and do nothing about it. This is one way we can start to fix things, but it can happen only if we start a state-by-state movement. New Hampshire is on its way with recent legislation to establish an independent commission.
Our Legislature has taken the first step and done the right thing. People need to tell Gov. Chris Sununu that he should also do the right thing and get on board with the establishment of an independent commission. I’ll start: Please, Gov. Sununu, be a citizen first and politician second, and support the establishment of this independent commission for the good of the people of New Hampshire.
People need to pick the politicians, not the other way around.
