I am a working-class, native Republican whose families in this state go back to the 1600s. I have no affiliation to any PACs, as I was blessed with a sharp mind that can think independently.

Those who know me (and many Democrats who don’t know me personally) can attest to the fact that I’m a staunch conservative in every conceivable meaning of the word. I have expressed many detailed opinions and my opposition to all things “progressive” from letters in various newspapers to forums all over social media.

For this willingness to speak out, I have received numerous death threats through the mail, over the phone and on occasion had people come to my house. So I was greatly disappointed when I was chased off the State House grounds tax rally after being invited by the NHFC and Team Sununu because I supported both (and still do). My crime? The person in charge (who wasn’t smart enough to realize my sign was calling out N.H. lawmakers beholden to Steyer and Soros) decided I was a Democratic plant. They shoved me to the rear to block my sign. I was shocked.

I tried to explain, but these folks wouldn’t listen. They just kept attacking me, then accused me of assaulting a disabled vet when I tried putting my sign back up. It was certainly an epiphany for me.

My family and friends and co-workers have been right all along. The Republican Party leadership, just as their Democratic cohorts, is led by ignorant bullies lacking critical thinking skills. They are both hell-bent on assuring Republicans go the way of Neanderthals.
