There should be a law out there to protect us homeowners from the city councilors and the school board members raising our property taxes every year. With all the new homes that are built and the new ones in the process of being built our taxes should go down not up, but they get greedy. The more they get, the more they want.
Low-income apartments aren’t called low-income anymore because when the taxes go up the rent goes up, so now they are called luxury apartments that low-income families cannot afford.
As for the low-income families that are homeless, you all had a hand in putting them there. You should all feel proud of yourself.
If Tom Aspell and the school board cannot manage their budgets better so they don’t have to raise property taxes, then find some people who can. We shouldn’t have to struggle to make ends meet just so you can get what you want. People’s needs should come first.
They said let the lottery come to New Hampshire so it can help the property taxes. Whatever happen to that? I wish the homeowners would fight for lower property taxes. Why should we, the homeowners, keep going without so the city council and school board can get what they want. I don’t even have kids or grandkids in school anymore.
