Police say a 28-year-old man stole a car from a Concord funeral home Tuesday and was arrested a short time later in Bow.

Kody Osgood, who Bow police say is homeless, was arrested just before 5 p.m. Tuesday, about 20 minutes after Concord police responded to a reported car theft at Waters Funeral Home on South Main Street. Osgood was charged with receiving stolen property, resisting arrest and possession of drugs.

A witness at the funeral home told police the suspect was a white man in his mid-20s and had taken off in a 2015 Buick Enclave.

Moments later, Bow police received a call reporting a car of the same description driving erratically on Clinton Street before turning onto Page Road.

As officers searched for the car in Bow, another caller reported seeing a suspicious vehicle parked at the end of Beaver Brook Drive. Police said this car also matched the description of the vehicle stolen in Concord.

Police responded to Beaver Brook Drive where Osgood was found in the driverโ€™s seat and was arrested after โ€œa brief struggle,โ€ according to a press release from Bow Police Department.

Police from Concord, Dunbarton, Hopkinton, Hooksett and state police assisted Bow.

Osgood was arrested by Concord police earlier this month on a warrant. In September, he was arrested on a warrant and was charged with two counts of criminal mischief and resisting arrest. Last July, Osgood was charged with burglary at an Iron Works Road home as well as drug possession and resisting arrest, according to Concord police.
