■The annual Kids Spring Trout Fishing Derby will be held on Saturday from 7 to 10 a.m. on Highland Lake in East Andover, sponsored by the Andover Fish & Game Club. The derby is for kids age 15 and under; registration is at the AF&G Clubhouse by the Channel. There will be lucky prizes, ribbons and trophies as well as free refreshments. The channel will be stocked Friday at 6 p.m.; kids are welcome to come and help. For information, call 735-5311.

■The Senior Health Clinic will be offered May 21 – always the third Tuesday – from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Andover Community Hub, by appointment. The clinic is offered by the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association and services include toenail clipping and foot care, blood pressure screening, B-12 injections, medication and nutritional information. ■That Thing at The Hub at the Andover Community Hub is an afterschool opportunity for fourth through eighth graders to hang out with friends, have a snack and create something interesting, 2:45 to 5 p.m. each Wednesday. Local resident and educator Donna Duclos brings ideas for creating, building and crafts, but kids are free to create on their own too. BOSCAWEN Summer camp signup

■Signups for the Boscawen Summer Park and Recreation program begin Monday at the Town Municipal Offices during normal business hours. A waiting list starts after 80 children have been accepted to the program. Weekly cost is $50 per child and $100 for a family. For more information, contact 753-9188.

■Enjoy a Pork Roast Public Dinner on Saturday at the Boscawen Congregational Church from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Meals cost $10 for adults and teens, $5 for children, ages 6 to 12 and children 5 and under eat for free. Proceeds benefit church programs.

■Plots are still available for the Community Gardens on the corner of Corn Hill Road and Woodbury Lane and applications can be picked up at the Town Offices and the Boscawen Public Library. Single plots, 12 by 12, cost $15 or get four plots for $45. Anyone who has a plot in the Community Gardens is required to take an Integrated Pest Management Class. The first class will be held on May 13 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Town Offices and two subsequent classes will be held in June and July at the gardens. ■A new pass to the Seacoast Science Center in Rye will soon be available at Boscawen Public Library. The popular passes to Squam Lakes Science Center and N.H. State Parks are returning in May. Passes are available due to the generous donations from Elektrisola and Ross Express.

■The Old Home Day meeting has been rescheduled to Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Academy Hall.

■What’s in your water? National Drinking Water Week is this week. The Conservation Commission is holding two well water question-and-answer, and water sampling sessions (sample bottles will be available). Presentations will be this Tuesday at Academy Hall at 7 p.m. The information session will discuss why it’s important to test our well water and the importance of protecting your well. Technical assistance thru out the process will be available. Testing results in Town have shown that some residents have arsenic, lead, bacteria, and other contaminants, in their well water. If you don’t test you won’t know!

■On Thursday, the recycling committee meets at 7 p.m. upstairs at Academy Hall.

■The library now has passes to the Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum! Each pass admits a group of up to four people or a family of adults and their children any day except for special events. For more info on the museum, go to indianmuseum.org.

■Free passes available for The Fells Estate located at 456 Route 103A in Newbury. Tour the 22-room Colonial Revival home; explore the forests, walk the woodland trails; and enjoy the renowned gardens. ■Salisbury Free Library’s Home Delivery Program supplies books, movies, audiobooks, and more to individuals in their homes that are unable to get to the library themselves. This program was started after Jackie Weiner, a Salisbury resident, became ill, and she and her family were no longer able to get to the library on a regular basis. She passed away Feb. 12. Any resident of Salisbury is eligible with an ongoing condition that prevents the person from coming to the library is eligible. Deliveries are made on (typically) a monthly basis by a volunteer driver or library staff. This is how it works: You tell us what type of books and/or other materials you want. The library staff select the books and other library items for you according to your criteria. The library volunteers/staff will pick up and return your library materials when they bring the next delivery. You can also reserve or request specific books/materials. ■The Salisbury Free Library Book Club meets every fourth Monday of the month at 7 p.m. at the library. They will be reading Educated by Tara Westover. Copies of the book are now available at the library.

■Every Tuesday is gentle flow yoga offered by Trinity Healing Energy at the library from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. The suggested donation is $5. They also offer a gentle flow yoga class on Wednesdays from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Cost is $8 per participant.

■At the Salisbury Free Library, there is a Kindle to loan. The Kindle is preloaded with e-books. Please call the library for more information. The library also offers eBooks and audiobooks to borrow to use on your own tablets and smartphones which are downloadable through N.H. Downloadable Books Consortium thanks to funding from N.H. State Library and the Institute of Museum and Library Services. All you need is a library card to take advantage of these valuable resources. There are two apps for smartphones available: Overdrive and Libby. Just go to nh.overdrive.com and log in with your library card number.

■Upcoming events for kids at the Salisbury Free Library from June to August is the library’s summer reading program. The program takes place every Monday at 10:30 a.m. and Thursday at 1:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “universe of stories with an emphasis on science.”

■May is also the first business meeting for the Salisbury Historical Society which takes place May 21 at 6 p.m. at the meetinghouse. The recipient of this year’s scholarship will present their winning essay and receive their check. A business meeting will follow with a vote to be taken on new proposed by-law changes; a discussion on this year’s Old Home Day event and the Round Robin. All are welcome to attend.

■The Salisbury Historical Society is still in need of artifacts for their veteran’s display. If someone in your family has served in any war from the Revolutionary War to modern day, please take advantage of this opportunity to have them recognized for their service. Photos, with or without biographies, artifacts, uniforms will make for a nice display. These items can be loaned to the society just for the display or donated to be cared for and displayed in a more permanent display. ■Every Thursday night is cribbage night at 6 p.m. at the town hall.

■At the town safety building on Tuesday and Thursday nights the fire/rescue and explorers meet. On the first Tuesday, the fire auxiliary meets.

■The Salisbury Farmers Market will be starting its fourth year on Monday afternoons at town hall on Route 4 and is looking for more vendors. The market’s opening day is June 3 and runs through the end of September, it will be every Monday from 3 to 6 p.m. except holidays that fall on a Monday.
