There will be lots to see and do over the next few days in Hopkinton.
Start off Friday with a sweet note. Contoocook United Methodist Church will hold a bake sale at the Colonial Village. Proceeds will benefit a trip in July for four youth to attend the United Methodist YOUTH 2019. This event brings together young people from across the United States and abroad. On Saturday from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., there will be a Neighbor to Neighbor childrenโs clothing swap at Countryside Community Church. Prices are $1 per item or $5 per bag. Proceeds will benefit the Pass Along Project for foster care children. For more information, call 746-4043.
Also on Saturday, the Hopkinton Lions and Rymes Propane and Oil will be at the Train Depot from 9 a.m. to noon. Bring your propane tanks (up to 20 pounds) and get them filled for $10. All proceeds will go to Hopkinton Lionsโ programs that support our community.
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Contoocook Village shops will hold its Fling into Spring event featuring special sales. The offers include 20% total purchase at Sage & Twine, extra 20% off sale items at Indigo Blues, 20% off pillows at Salt & Spoon, 20% off total purchase at 3 on Main, 20% off total purchase at Union House Oddities and a Motherโs Day Sale at Der Markt at Marklin. At Contoocook Quiltworks, you can watch a demonstration of the long arm quilting machine.
The Hopkinton PTA will hold its annual fun fair at the middle school on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Enjoy live music, games, ponies, cake, concessions and more.
At noon, donโt miss out on the Cow Plop fundraiser at Beech Hill Farm. The Everyday Cafe will be cooking up barbecue fare, Strings and Things will perform live music, and you can win $1,000 if a cow chooses to go on your square.
