Loudon’s Bob Landry reached the final of the New Hampshire Golf Association’s Senior Match Play Championship on Wednesday at Windham Country Club, but fell to Craig Steckowych, 4 & 3, in the final match.
Landry needed a 19th hole to get out of his first-round match with Kevin Doherty on Tuesday, and followed that up with a 3 & 2 win against Dennis McGuire to advance to Wednesday’s semifinals, where he beat David Kane, 3 & 2.
Steckowych, who plays out of Portsmouth Country Club, opened up a big early lead in the final, but Landry won holes 11, 12 and 13 to make a run on the back nine before running out of time.
