Concord’s Veronyca Daniels had three goals and an assist, while teammates Sydney Dubois and Elizabeth McLaughlin recorded four goals and an assist each, to lead the Plymouth State women’s lacrosse team past New England College, 19-3, in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament at Tufts University’s Bello Field.
Daniels scored three goals in a six-minute span in the middle of the first half to help expand the Panthers’ lead from 8-1 to 12-1 with 12:05 remaining in the first half.
Plymouth State led 15-1 at halftime.
The Panthers (12-5) will play No. 4 Tufts in the second round Sunday at 1 p.m. with the winner advancing to the NCAA Regionals next weekend. The Plymouth State women’s lacrosse program is 2-7 all-time in NCAA Tournament play.
NEC ends the season with a 14-6 mark.
