Memorial Day 2019, our designated day to honor and remember the men and women who fought and died in defense of their families, comrades and nation.
It is with a sense of hope that we pay tribute to those who honored their oath to protect and defend our Constitution with the last full measure of their devotion, as President Abraham Lincoln believed.
It is so hard to believe that at this time in our American history we are witnessing a grievous threat to our Constitution. A threat not from an enemy on our borders or across the sea, but an enemy within that is eroding our constitutional system of checks and balances.
This Memorial Day was marked, in part, by concern and sadness along with the honor and glory. Strange. Today, we the people must hope and pray that this nation, under God, will not perish from the earth.
