The Rundlett Middle School girls’ 4×400 relay team of Nydia Lane, Olivia Lewis-Zanis, Chloe Gudas and Avery Fitcher finished first at the Middle School Track and Field Meet of Champions and set a new state record along the way.
The relay team’s time of 4 minutes, 25 seconds broke the previous record of 4:30 held by Milford Middle School.
The Rundlett girls’ team also had a number of individual state runner-ups, including Ayva Mullen (100m hurdles), Allie Norwesh (long jump) and Fitcher (800m).
Both 4×100 relay teams also finished second out of 70 teams.
