As I read with sadness the Concord Monitorobituary for Tom Fredenburg (Monitor Obituaries, June 4), complete with his smiling face, I couldn’t help but notice a photo of Donald Trump on the opposite page.
Opposite is right!
Tom the selfless champion of social justice. Donald the selfish narcissist sowing injustice.
Tom cultivating love and choosing to be happy. Donald, mean-spirited and spiteful, spreading hate and racism.
Tom worked tirelessly, with joy, to address discrimination and solve community problems while our president tweets endlessly, lying and cultivating ignorance.
It will be difficult for this community to make peace with the loss of Tom. For me, harder still is to face another frightening day with Donald Trump in the White House.
