Banks Chevrolet won the Concord Northeast Majors championship with a 9-8 victory over the Geneia River Bandits. Alex Turant pitched a great game whiel also scoring the game-winning run. Griffin Norwalt blasted a three-run homer and Carl Sirrianna had a two-run single. For the River Bandits, Bronson Ammann had a two-run homer and Noah Staples-Roy had a three-run homer.
Duston Country Club held its Spring Member/Member Tournament on Saturday, with Dawn Jalbert and Lorraine Gagnon topping the Ladiesโ Net leaderboard. LeeAnne Bruzga won both the womenโs Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin competitions. For the men, Cal Varney and Jeff Hicks had the best gross score, while Brandon MacKenzie and Kyle Jalbert had the best net score. Varney also won Closest to the Pine and Sam Mostue had the Longest Drive.

University of New Hampshire field hockey team will be holding two summer camps. Session 1 of the summer camp will be June 30-July 3 and Session 2 will be July 25-28. The summer camp sessions are open to junior high and high school students as of fall 2019. Players of all skill levels are welcome. Each session includes four days of field hockey instruction and a full evening program. The overnight option includes three meals daily and housing in a UNH residence hall. Pass Set Crush volleyball camp is available for girls entering grades 7-9 in the fall of 2019. This is an overnight adventure camp with a concentration in volleyball. The camp is located at Geneva Point Center on Lake Winnipesaukee in Moultonborough. The two sessions are July 7-11 and July 14-18. Plymouth State University womenโs volleyball coach Joan Forge directs the camp and the staff features several New Hampshire volleyball coaches and outstanding high school and college players from around the country. Hillsboro-Deering High School Spring Sports Award Night will be held on Tuesday from 6-7:30 p.m. in the high school gym. Attendance is required of all spring H-D athletes.
John Stark Spring Sports Awards night for all athletes, parents and family will take place on Wednesday. The evening will start in the cafeteria at 5:30 p.m. for dessert before moving to the gym at 6 p.m. where all teams will be recognized and Sportsmanship and Scholar-Athlete awards will be presented. The evening will conclude with programs moving into individual classrooms for team specific recognition.
NHTI athletic department third annual golf tournament will be at Beaver Meadow on Friday. Cost for a foursome is $500 and includes greens fees, cart and dinner. The tournament is scheduled to be a shotgun start beginning at 8:30 a.m. and there will be a silent auction, raffle, closest to the pin, longest drive and many other chances to win prizes.
