A Boston man was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated after police say he was clocked driving 120 mph in a 65 mph zone on Interstate 89 in Hopkinton on Friday.

Rory Walsh, 36, was driving south on I-89 about 3:45 p.m. when a State Police helicopter clocked his 2013 Audi Q5 going 55 mph over the speed limit.

Walsh was stopped by State Police in Concord where Sgt. Christopher Storm and Trooper Samuel Provenza suspected he was impaired by alcohol.

Walsh submitted to a field sobriety test and was arrested, police said. Police said they found an open container of alcohol in the car, as well.

Walsh is due to appear in Concord’s district court on June 21.
