Merrimack Valley graduate Kristie Schoffield, a sophomore on the Boise State women’s track and field team, earned All-American status by finishing sixth in the finals of the 800 meters at Saturday’s NCAA Division I Championship.
Schoffield clocked a 2:03.86, not far behind the winner, Texas A&M’s Jazmine Fray (2:01.31).
Schoffield, the runner-up at the Mountain West Conference Championship, finished third in her semifinal heat on Thursday night, but qualified based on time for Saturday’s eight-runner final.
