Why does this voter registration discussion continue to be a problem? The simplest and most economical way to vote is to merely request an absentee ballot from one’s hometown. I was in the U.S. Navy just shy of four years and never missed an election thanks to absentee ballots. The readers should note that requesting an absentee ballot is never mentioned in the letters and op-ed articles but rather the focus is on voter suppression. Really? Get off your butt and request an absentee ballot if you’re that interested in voting. It’s painless. Try it. You may be surprised.
