Hopkinton’s Caleb Yianakopolos went 4-for-4 at the plate and Belmont’s Cam Magerer hit an RBI single to lead New Hampshire to a 4-1 victory over Vermont in Game 1 of the Twin State Baseball Classic.
Vermont won Game 2, 11-3, in a doubleheader featuring the top seniors from both states.
Yianakopolos sparked a third-inning rally with a single and Magerer drove home a run on a grounder later in the frame to give the Granite State a 3-0 lead.
