New Hampshire is often in the national political spotlight, being the first primary in presidential elections and being an important swing state with strong representation from both Democrats and Republicans.

Right now, we’re in the spotlight for the independent redistricting bill that has passed both the House and Senate with bipartisan support. Our elected officials worked together across party lines to develop a bill that would create a fair and equal redistricting process in our state. This is a first-in-the-nation bill, so all eyes are on us.

Right now, that means all eyes are on Gov. Sununu to do the right thing and sign this bill that has strong bipartisan support. If he doesn’t sign this bipartisan bill and follow the lead and recommendation of the New Hampshire Legislature, it is a failure of leadership.

Sign this bill, Governor. Stand with your fellow elected officials who have passed this bill, and stand with the people of New Hampshire who deserve transparency and clean elections.
