■Zumba Gold is held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Suncook Senior Center. The cost is $10 per class or $70 for 10 classes, and the first class is always free.

■TOPS is held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Suncook Senior Center, with weigh-in at 10:15 a.m.

■Tai Chi Moving Meditation is held Friday at 9 a.m. at the Suncook Senior Center.

■Only grass clippings and leaves are allowed in curbside, transfer station lawn clipping and leave bags, per Allenstown rules. Do not put pet waste, rocks, flower pots or potting soil in the town’s bags. If they are found, your participation will be discontinued and your bags will be left at curbside. If your animals regularly use the areas where you are collecting leaf and clippings from, then do the Allenstown Public Works a favor and just throw the bags away with your trash in your curbside bins. Furthermore, if your lawn clipping and leaf bags have been sitting out for long periods of time and the bottoms are wet, then please place the leaf and clipping bad in an open top plastic trash bag. ■In the Christmas Cookie Cook-off Robyn Ladd, who made coconut chews, and Bob Facella, who made gingerbread people, tied for first place; Olivia Cunningham, who made chocolate snowballs, got second place; and Rachel Rao, who made hot chocolate cups, and Jamie Thoroughgood, who made seven-layer cookies tied for third place. In the youth division parade, first place went to Victory Workers 4-H Club. Second place went to PMHS Drama Club and third place went to FB Argue Recreation Area pool team. Ann Carr is the “Adopt A Duck Race” winner. In the “Battle of the Badges” softball game, the police team won. In the tomato cage decorating contests, Pittsfield Clothes Closet won for adults and Pittsfield Youth Workshop won for youths. Thank you to all 18 participants.

■Ruth Strickhart was presented with the Boston Post Cane at the Pittsfield Old Home Day Parade. Ruth is Pittsfield’s most senior citizen at 99 years of age.
