A convicted felon arrested in a drug raid carried out at two Rollins Street rooming houses in April is facing new possession and weapons charges.
The 11 indictments recently handed up against Cory Porter, 35, of Concord represent just a fraction of the charges prosecutors are pursuing against nine people taken into custody on April 12 in the raids. So far, six of the nine arrestees have been indicted over the past two months.
Porter is charged with possession of crack cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, Suboxone, Lorazepam and the stimulant Dexmethylphenidate. He also faces two counts of being a felon in possession of a deadly weapon to include a knife and metallic knuckles, and one count of maintaining a common nuisance. Porter was previously convicted of robbery in Merrimack County in January 2014.
Prosecutors allege Porter maintained the residence at 5 Rollins St. for the purpose of storing and selling illegal drugs.
When police executed a search warrant, they found Porter โfrozen in placeโ at a table on which there was white powder consistent with being heroin or fentanyl, according to a sworn affidavit prepared by Concord police Detective Bryan Croft. Officers later seized a prescription-like container containing 20 grams of heroin/fentanyl and more than two grams of methamphetamine in Porterโs pants pocket, as well as a rubber container with three grams of crack cocaine and a billfold containing a Suboxone strip. Porter had $794 in his wallet at the time, police said.
Nathan Bond, 40, of Chichester is the only defendant who has been indicted so far on sales charges. Bond faces three counts of sale of methamphetamine. The charges are all special felonies, meaning that Bond is subject to enhanced penalties if found guilty because he was previously convicted in August 2018 of possession of controlled drugs.
Cory Decato, 34, of Danbury; Cyle Gancarz, 21, of Concord; and Katie White, 26, of Wentworth were each indicted on one count of possession of a narcotic drug, a special felony. Decato is accused of being in possession of methamphetamine, while prosecutors allege Gancarz and White had fentanyl.
Shane Demers, 29, of Pembroke faces two counts of possession of a narcotic drug โ Suboxone and methadone โ and one count of possession of a controlled drug believed to be MDMA, commonly known as ecstasy.
Also arrested during the raid were Helmi Ryan and Rebecca Taylor, both of Concord, and Logan Locke of Northfield.
