The New England Patriots signed free-agent wide receiver Cameron Meredith on Friday.

Meredith, formerly of the New Orleans Saints and Chicago Bears, was placed on the physically unable to perform list due to a knee injury.

Meredith caught 66 passes for 888 yards and four touchdowns with the Bears in 2016, but missed the entire 2017 season after suffering a preseason knee injury. The 26-year-old battled health issues while recording just nine catches for the Saints last season.
