The Concord field hockey team is back to work after narrowly missing out on a semifinal trip last season.
The Crimson Tide went 7-6-1 in 2018 to earn the No. 8 seed in the Division I tournament. Concord beat No. 9 Dover, 1-0, but was edged by top-ranked Windham, 1-0, in the quarterfinals. The Jaguars ended up going all the way to the title game before suffering a 2-0 loss to Winnacunnet in the final.
Concord is scheduled to begin its journey toward another playoff berth on Sept. 4 with a trip to Exeter. The Tide’s home opener is slated for Sept. 6, featuring a playoff rematch against Dover at Rollins Park.
