The actions of Clean Energy New Hampshire don’t make much sense when you start to put the puzzle pieces together.
Why does a group, supposedly focused on advancing “clean” energy, continue to support the biomass power industry? The evidence is staggering that biomass, while a renewable resource, emits tons of carbon every year. These emissions pollute our air and negatively impact our communities.
Is this group really focused on the environment or have they been bought off by their rent-seeking members who are begging the Legislature for subsidies at every turn? To me, they look like just another group looking to erase the New Hampshire Advantage.
They are intent on convincing the Legislature to override Gov. Chris Sununu’s vetoes on energy, but I know Gov. Sununu is absolutely right when it comes to energy. Our electric rates are already too high.
I’ll be supporting Gov. Sununu on every single one of his vetoes. To my fellow Republicans, join me and protect the New Hampshire Advantage on Sept. 18.
