A 63-year-old woman was killed while crossing the street on Loudon Road in Concord Thursday night. 

Lt. Sean Ford of the Concord Police Department said the pedestrian was struck at around 6:30 p.m. by a silver Sedan-style vehicle. She died at Concord Hospital around 1 a.m., Ford said. 

There was a heavy police presence in the area of the Holiday Inn and Stickney Avenue, just one block from Main Street, for several hours after the crash.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated. Sgt. Matt Casey said the driver has been cooperative with authorities.
