The Contoocook Valley Radio Club regular meeting will be held on Friday, Oct. 8, at 7:30 p.m., at the Hopkinton Library, 61 Houston Drive, in Contoocook. Well-known author Joe Reisert of W1JR will present, “Can You Hear Me Now?” Reisert will discuss medical and radio-related aspects of human hearing.
N.H. Audubon is proud to announce that it has been awarded $24,479 as part of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation National Paralysis Resource Center High Impact Priority Quality of Life Grants and Direct Effect grants cycles. N.H. Audubon will use the grant for providing push button mechanical door operators for front and back entrances to the McLane Center in Concord as well as the Massabesic Center in Auburn. These door operators will allow people using assistive devices for mobility to freely move around the two centers
Allenstown Special Town Meeting will be held Oct. 22 on the Zoning Map for 79E Expansion, Suncook Village Infill Development District Map and Ordinance Amendments to the Allenstown Zoning Ordinance. The meeting will be held at St. John the Baptist Parish Hall from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The special Town Meeting Warrant, Zoning Map Amendments, and Suncook Village infill Development District Map Amendments, and Amendments to the Zoning Ordinance pertaining to these changes. These changes are being presented in order to foster develop at the China Mill Site by including that area, in addition to a few other small lots along the Suncook River, in the Suncook infill Development District and the 79E Zone.
