It is interesting to me how the Concord School Board has circled the wagons around their new “acting” superintendent, telling the Monitor that “she has been working to address this (lack of certification for the position she has held for eight years) for some time . . . she expects to be in good standing shortly” and “we (the school board) are assured Donna (Palley) is getting paperwork to forward to them (the State Board of Education).” I wonder if they would have the same reaction if it were a teacher who had been found to have been in the classroom for eight years without proper certification. Somehow I doubt it.
