The NHTI golf team received high praise from the United States Collegiate Athletic Association on Wednesday. NHTI’s Mike Seraikas was named the USCAA Golf Coach of the Year and sophomore Ryan Rothdienar was named to the USCAA All-American First Team.

Seraikas, the former Bow High golf coach, has led the Lynx to back-to-back appearances in the USCAA Golf National Championships in his two seasons at NHTI.

Rothdienar, a John Stark graduate from Henniker, tied for third overall on Tuesday at those championships, which were held in State College, Penn., on the blue course at Penn State University.

Rothdienar had an average score of 76.5 going into the event, but he went well below that average, carding a 71, leading NHTI to an 11th-place finish in the 22-team field.
