Last Sunday on ABC’s This Week George Stephanopoulos asked Republican Rep. Jim Jordan if he thought Donald Trump’s comments on the White House lawn Thursday encouraging China to investigate his main political opponent, Joe Biden, were appropriate. Instead of being patriotic and someone who follows the law, Jordan uttered the blind Republican mantra of denial. He said: “Do you really think Trump was serious about encouraging China to investigate Biden? He’s just getting the press all spun up about this,” Jordan said.
Really? At a time when Trump is being investigated for asking Ukraine to investigate Biden (which is against the law according to the FEC), Trump self-incriminates himself and actually admits during a press conference that he would also like China to investigate. And still, very few Republicans have the nerve to call a spade a spade and discontinue their allegiance to this immoral, narcissistic president.
