Patrick Grasso tied the game at 4-4 with just 5:46 left in the third period with a power-play goal, but neither the University of New Hampshire men’s ice hockey team, nor Miami, found the back of the net in overtime in Oxford, Ohio.
The Wildcats took a 3-0 lead thanks to a first-period goal by Angus Crookshank and second-period goals by Kohei Sato and Grasso to give UNH a three-goal cushion with 11:06 left in the second. But the RedHawks scored three goals in the next 6:11 to tie it.
Max Gildon and Grasso each recorded a goal and an assist for UNH.
