Fiddlers from Scottish, Irish, and Québécois traditions will convene in Concord for the fourth annual Fall Fiddle Festival, a full day of workshops and jam sessions for fiddlers and violinists, followed by an exhilarating evening concert of fiddle music open to the general public on Oct. 19.

The festival will feature three fiddle players: Scottish fiddler and experimentalist Jenna Moynihan, who has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, CBS Sunday Morning, and as a soloist at Symphony Hall; French-Canadian fiddler Éric Favreau, who is highly regarded for his profound understanding and masterful playing of the traditional music of Québec; and Concord’s own Liz Faiella, an Irish fiddler and chair of Folk, Jazz, and Popular Music at the Concord Community Music School.

After a day packed with workshops and jam sessions, all three fiddle faculty members will perform in the evening concert, alongside guest artists Jeremiah McLane on piano and accordion and Màiri Chaimbeul on harp.

The workshops and concert will take place on Oct. 19 at the Concord Community Music School, 23 Wall St., in downtown Concord.

The workshop will run from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Register at ccmusicschool.org or 228-1196. Space is limited and registration is required. The $75 fee includes full day of workshops and jams and evening concert ticket.

Fiddle players of various levels and styles are invited to participate in a range of workshop offerings and jam sessions, taught by fiddlers Éric Favreau, Québécois fiddling, Jenna Moynihan, Scottish and experimental fiddling, and Liz Faiella, Irish fiddling.
