For many years I have lived, worked and volunteered in the greater Concord community. I currently sit on Concord’s planning board and have chaired the boards of several local organizations, including the Greater Concord Chamber, the Capitol Center for the Arts and Touch the Future.
My career was primarily in the telecommunication sector, where I began as a union-represented technician and retired 35 years later as vice president of public affairs. In my various positions there, I managed small and large groups of employees and was responsible for operational and capital budgets of more than $100 million per year.
If elected, I will work tirelessly for the residents of Concord’s Ward 2 and the city at large. My priorities will be to advocate for the ongoing maintenance of Ward 2 roads, especially Bog Road; expanding the tax base in all wards; helping to develop solutions for common-sense, family-friendly affordable and senior housing; protecting our special neighborhoods while making room for growth through building reuse and rehabilitation; the ongoing maintenance of Concord’s extensive network of trails; creation and expansion of the Greenway and rail trails in order to make Concord a safer, more bicycle-friendly city; and working with fellow councilors and the city manager to make sure we are spending your tax dollars wisely.
Now fully retired, it’s my time to help make Concord, and Ward 2, a better place to live, work and play.
