This letter is written in support of Byron Champlin for continued service as at-large councilor on the Concord City Council.
I have known Byron as a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, where he has served as a dedicated, well-versed teacher of an adult Bible study class for longer than the 14 years I have known him.
In addition, I have observed him providing leadership as a member or chairperson of church committees, community organizations, and efforts to make and keep Concord a vital, attractive, progressive city in which we can all proudly live, work and play.
I don’t always agree with Byron on matters that come before the city council, but I know Byron does his homework, consults with constituents and makes decisions with the good of the city, its taxpayers and all residents in mind.
He is a trustworthy, honest, reliable man of integrity. I also know from personal experience that his constituents can depend upon him to respond to any concerns or needs they bring to his attention in a prompt and courteous manner.
I, myself, have called or emailed him with questions or concerns in the past, and he has always returned my call or email promptly. Byron is someone we can all count on.
I definitely plan to vote for Byron Champlin for at-large city councilor on Nov. 5, and I urge all who read this endorsement to seriously consider his candidacy and do the same.
