My friend Gina Cannon is running for school board at a most stressful and troublesome time, both for the school district and the community. Why would anyone want to be part of that, you might ask? Well, I did ask her. With no hesitation, she said, “I am running for all children, for their safety, their right to be heard and for community healing.”

Gina values education as a stepping stone to a more fulfilling future for our children. She is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Vermont Law School, and is currently employed at Community Bridges in their residential and day services program.

Gina is ready and able to be part of the team, who together will not be afraid to do the right thing and will work to bring all the schools in the district back to a place we can trust and feel is safe for all our children.

The current problems in our school district have gone on way too long. Maybe a new set of eyes will see some solutions. Please support Gina. I know I do. Get out and vote on Nov. 5.
