After sweeping the Division I cross country titles in October, the accolades have continued for the Concord High cross country program, with the Tide claiming three major awards at Monday’s 19th annual New Hampshire Cross Country Awards ceremony.
Ally Davis, the fifth-year head coach of the Concord girls’ team and boys’ head coach Zach Procek swept the Coach of the Year titles.
The Concord girls were named the girls’ co-Team of the Year with Souhegan, while Coe-Brown, co-coached by Tim Cox and Brent Tkaczyk, won the award on the boys’ side.
Awards for the best coach, team and runner, were voted on by coaches from across all three divisions of NHIAA competition.
Several area runners were named to the All-Star teams by finishing in the top 10 of their respective division championships.
Junior Morgane Orcutt and freshman Sophie Hopkins earned Division I All-Star selections, helping lead the Tide girls to their first state title since 2003 and third place in New England – the best finish of any Granite State team.
Juniors Eben Bragg and Brayden Kearns were the Concord boys who earned All-Star recognition.
The Coe-Brown boys’ team – which defended its D-II title, won the Meet of Champions in a record-breaking performance, finished fourth in New England and earned a national ranking – had the most All-Stars with six.
