Just before Christmas, local nursing homes accepted hundreds of needed items that were donated for residents. Donations were collected during Intown Concord’s Midnight Merriment festivities, and more donations continued to come in to the NHFCU Lee Branch a week later.
Staff at nursing homes in Concord and Lee accepted items and posed for photos. At Harris Hill in Concord, 40 residents woke to holiday gifts donated by “Santa for Seniors.” Residents at Havenwood, Harris Hill, Granite Ledges, Rochester Manor and Riverside Rest Home, and seniors who are connected to Good Life also received a surprise under their tree thanks to the generosity of people all over the state.
