I am proudly endorsing Sen. Dan Feltes to be our next governor. Chris Sununu, running for a third term, has vetoed everything from campaign finance reform, to job training and apprenticeships, to addiction treatment, to paid family and medical leave. During the 2019 session, he vetoed 57 bills, and 42 of them had bipartisan support.

Sen. Feltes has committed his life to serving in public office and looking out for others, not for himself. Dan’s dad wasn’t governor, his brother wasn’t a U.S. senator and he was never gifted a ski resort. Dan’s dad worked in a furniture factory for 45 years, the same un-airconditioned furniture factory doing roughly the same job over and over again. Dan’s mom worked part-time jobs – as many of us also have done to survive – including her night-shift work, while raising four kids.

Dan has committed his life to public service, right after law school working at New Hampshire Legal Assistance as a legal aid attorney helping low-income families. He has taken his commitment to public service seriously, from legal aid to the state Senate and now serving as majority leader of the Senate.

Dan has been a progressive leader on everything from clean energy, to affordable housing, to education, to paid family and medical leave. I know – without any question – he’ll always look out for working families as our governor. For all those reasons and more, I support Sen. Dan Feltes for governor and hope you’ll join me in supporting him, too.
