Within the past month I have been the recipient of the good will of the Concord police – their going above and beyond the scope of their duties.
First, I lost my car keys at Memorial Field. After a fruitless search, I gave up but within a week a police officer came knocking at my front door with my keys in hand. He found out they belonged to me by tracking me through the little library card attachment on the keys.
Second, I am a school crossing guard. A year ago as a Christmas gift all the guards were given by the police a $15 gift certificate to a local coffee shop and this year a $25 gift certificate to one of our grocery stores. How nice is that?
These gestures amply display to me the good will of our local police and make me proud to be a Concord resident.
Thank you, Concord police.
