Concord, Merrimack Valley at Dartmouth Relays
Key players: Concord – Katherine Kennedy (7th 2 mile), Morgane Orcutt (14th 2 mile), Nydia Lane (14th 300); MV – Sophia Reynolds (4th 2 mile), distance medley relay (2nd)
Highlights: Reynolds finished fourth in the two mile run and the DMR of Reynolds, Emma York, Cassidy Considine and Samantha Kimball finished second at the Dartmouth Relays over the weekend, competing against over 50 teams from around New England, New York and Quebec. The Pride tied for 17th with 12 points. Kennedy had the best finish for the Tide at the two-day event.
Merrimack Valley 4th, Pembroke 5th at Plymouth State
Key players: MV – Emma York (1st 1,000), Samantha Kimball (2nd 1,500), Madisyn Garrity (3rd 55 hurdles), Addie Hodge (4th 55 hurdles, 4th long jump); Pembroke – Cassidy Rondeau (3rd long jump, 4th high jump), Liv McCarty (3rd shot put), Isobella Gill (4th 600)
Highlights: With some of its best athletes competing in its second meet of the weekend, the Pride still finished fourth at a 12-team meet on Sunday. York won the 1,000 meters with a time of 3:16 and ran on the winning 4×400 with Madisyn Garrity, Sophia Reynolds and Cassidy Considine. Coe-Brown (51 points), Gilford (46.5) and Campbell (45) were the top three teams, while MV was fourth with (39). Gill set a school record in the 600 for Pembroke (31).
Bow 3rd, Bishop Brady 10th at UNH
Key players: Bow – Emily Kiah (1st 1,000), Maya Brochu (1st 3,000), Kristina Pizzi (2nd 300), Delia Brochu (2nd 3,000), Susanna Zahn (4th 1,500), Amy Eweka (4th shot put), 4×400 (1st); Bishop Brady – Abby Shagena (1st 600)
Highlights: Going up against mostly Division I schools, the Falcons held their own, finishing third with 41 points, behind Alvirne (59) and Winnacunnet (46). Kiah won the 1,000 in 3:38 and ran on the winning 4×400 with Pizzi, Emma Van Ham and Kelly Harris. Shagena won the 600 in 1:50 to account for all six of Bishop Brady’s points.
Wildcat Relays
Highlights: In Thursday’s relay meet at UNH, the Merrimack Valley quartet of Sophia Reynolds, Emma York, Cassidy Considine and Samantha Kimball finished second in the distance medley relay and third in the 4×800. Bow’s 4×400 of Kelly Harris, Emily Kiah, Emma Van Ham and Kristina Pizzi finished fifth.
