■The Bow Garden Club is currently on hiatus and will resume their regular monthly meetings and educational programs April 13, when Bow Garden Club members Susan Johnson and Joyce Kimball will give attendees some basic instruction in floral design in preparation for two different design events that will be coming up later in the year. (Both of these events are open to the public and are free). First, the club will be coordinating with the Baker Free Library again this year to present a “Books In Bloom” event some time in April where garden club members will be interpreting or reflecting a book they have selected with a floral arrangement. In June, they will join with members of other New Hampshire garden clubs for the 17th annual “Petals 2 Paint” exhibition to be hosted by East Colony Fine Art. Here participants will create floral designs to interpret objet d’art they will be selecting from the artists’ collections earlier in the year. The Petals 2 Paint exhibition will be held at the La Belle Winery in Amherst. Dates and times of both of these events will be announced over the next several weeks.
