ANDOVEREnergy initiative

■The Andover Energy Group, a group of local volunteers, is circulating a petition to add a “Carbon Cash-Back” warrant article to the agenda of Andover’s town meeting on March 10. The group is collecting signatures to submit to the select board in support of N.H. carbon-pricing legislation that would put a fee on all fossil fuels coming into the state and rebate those monies annually and equally to every resident over the age of 18. Residents concerned with climate change and with urging our elected state officials to take decisive action are asked to contact the AEG at andoverenergy@gmail.com for more information and to arrange to add their signature to the petition. The deadline for petition submission is Feb. 4.
