■Winter Carnival Ski and Snowboard Races (cancelled last weekend) moved to Sunday the 16 th starting at 1 PM. Come enjoy the fun and outdoors at the Veterans Memorial Recreation Area on Flaghole Road.

■Fourth Annual Boat Bash -Snow Crash!: Downhill Kayaking at the Veterans Memorial Ski Area will take place Sat. March 7 th with 10 AM registration and 11 – 3:00 downhill kayaking races this event ends the

■Karma Korner welcomes new and gently used clothing for teens, as well as cosmetic and hygiene items: toothbrushes and paste, shampoos and soaps, tampons/pads, deodorant, etc. for young men and women. Items can be dropped off at Franklin High School main office. With spring coming, go through your closets for nice dresses for young ladies for prom and graduation, and dress shirts and pants for young men.

■Volunteers needed in Franklin and Laconia for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. Intake specialists and tax preparers will be expected to complete standards of conduct certification and commit about 3-6 hours every or every other week from January until early April. ■Driver Safety Refresher Course for all drivers of all ages will be offered by AARP March 9 th from 9 – 4 PM.
