■On Monday, Lovers of the Chichester Library will meet at 7 p.m. at the library. This is an open meeting. Stop in and hear what the group does to support the library and learn about positions available for volunteering at the library and the bookstore.

■On Tuesday, Chichester Historical Society meets and opens the free museum from 9 a.m. to noon.

■Supervisors of the checklist will be in session on Feb. 29 from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the Grange Hall/Town Hall, 54 Main St., to register voters and make corrections, additions, and deletions to the checklist. This is the last chance to register to vote prior to the Chichester School Budget meeting on March 7. The municipal election will be on March 10, and the Town Meeting is scheduled for March 14. Applicants for registration who possess proof of identity, age, citizenship and domicile should bring that proof when they come to register. ■Absentee ballots are available online at chichesternh.org, or pick one up at the town offices. You can also find a sample town ballot for the March 10 elections (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.) on the website-there are two contested positions on the ballot: Selectman: Richard Bouchard; Stephen MacCleery; Russell Blaney; for town treasurer: Andrea Deachman, Shannon Testa; other positions have a candidate who has filed for the position, with the exception of Cemetery Trustee – people are needed to be willing to serve on the committee with write-in votes.

■On Feb. 29, join in the free fun at a Contradance at the Grange Hall at 7 p.m. Christopher Dudley will be playing the fiddle and Alice Morris is the caller. Open to everyone – suitable for all ages – free parking and light refreshments. If you can let the library know how many will attend, it will be helpful in planning refreshments!

Midway is scheduled for Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the library. The Battle of Midway, a clash between the American fleet and the Imperial Japanese Navy marking a pivotal turning point in the pacific theater during WWII. Based on real life events of this heroic feat, the film tells the story of the leaders and soldier who used their instincts, fortitude and bravery to overcome the odds.

The Addams Family will be shown on Monday at 6:30 p.m. The movie is rated PG and popcorn and drinks are provided.
