A brand new BSA Scout Troop has formed in Weare. Troop 529 is chartered by the Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Weare and is accepting new members. Troop 529 was numbered in homage to Weare’s telephone code of 529.
On Feb. 1, BSA Pack 24 of Weare crossed over 14 Arrow of Light Scouts into the new Troop along with three older scouts.
The troop has several activities and outings planned for the spring and will be attending Hidden Valley Scout Reservation in Gilmanton this summer.
