March is Disability Awareness Month, and in keeping with their commitment to supporting local organizations, Melissa McCarthy and Jayson Twombly from The Studio in downtown Laconia are supporting Easter Seals with matching donations from their retro vending machine and counter “swear jar.” McCarthy explains, “For 50 cents, anyone can get a matchbook that contains a button that we’ve made here. At the end of the month we ‘match’ the totals collected and donate it to the organization we’re working with.” Easter Seals provides residential, community, and paid employment support for adults in our community; The Studio is happy to support them. Come in to 598 Main St., in downtown to learn more.
