Town meeting season is here, and all across the Granite State neighbors are gathering to make important decisions about our towns’ futures. Every meeting you attend, question you ask and vote you cast make a difference.

After growing up in Contoocook, I chose to stay here and raise my family. I was honored to sit on the Hopkinton Select Board for nearly four years, and I am proud now to run for town moderator.

As a select board member, I worked to increase community participation in our local government and expand town communications, including through committee appointments and the creation of an official town Facebook page that I still volunteer to help maintain.

As town moderator, I will carry those goals with me. It would be an honor to earn your vote and your trust to manage a transparent process that values the input of every community member and foster an environment in which we can all do that respectfully.

Our love for our town and our commitment to its future bring us together throughout the year, but especially during this season. My knitting bag is packed and my flannel is ready; I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday, March 10, for ballot voting from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the high school; Saturday, March 14, at the school district meeting; and Saturday, March 21, at town meeting.

Town reports are now available and budget, election and warrant article information can be found at hopkinton-nh.gov.
