Eight John Stark Regional High School art students have been invited to participate in the New Hampshire Art Educator’s annual Youth Art Month (YAM) Exhibit at the N.H. State Library in Concord through March 22. The library is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The N.H. State Library is located at 20 Park St., across from the State House.
JSRHS students in this exhibition include Lauren Zervos, who has been selected to receive the YAM 2020 Commissioners’ Award for her Looking into the Distance (Charcoal), Eli Bryant, Love in Ruins (Charcoal), Summer Clement, Saddie (Oil Pastel), Stephanie Rodonis, Visible (Digital Photography), Maddie Dionne, Great Bay (Printmaking with Watercolor), Lydia Piscina, Jungle (Acrylic and Resin), Sheridan O’Brien, Roaring ’20s (Scanography Photograph), and Gracie Bolduc, Sassy Pants (Watercolor).
“The students in this exhibit have demonstrated rigor in the classroom, commitment to mastering the skills taught in class, and have worked to push creative boundaries,” said JSRHS teacher Tracy Travers. “They’ve developed an artistic voice and are using their art as a way to educate and communicate,” she continued.
John Stark senior Lauren Zervos will be presented with the 2020 Commissioners’ Award at the exhibit reception on March 22.
